Can you imagine?
All you have ever known in life has been war and tribal unrest…and now there is to be a free and fair democratic election. These words to us present a picture of organized choosing of a leader. But here–they hold no such memories.
What will it be like? What doeWorkshops it mean? How does it relate to me? What can I do as a church leader?

RECONCILE is a Christian group aimed now at educating the leaders of the community so that they can understand the process of an election, what it will be like, problems and how they might help to resolve them, and how to communicate with their communities.

This week about 40 leaders are meeting daily at our home (see veranda on picture) and learning — today they are actually forming two parties, doing a quick campaign, and an election–hands on learning! We do pray that the church can be salt and light, a very important part of peacemaking in this tumultuous time. Pray with us to this end!
