[January 20, 2010] There must be over 1000 restless cows on the airstrip just outside our compound fence tonight. We hear they were brought from distant villages for watering in our Torit river. Oh no, this could be a cattle raiders paradise. At least two brand new calves were dropped just before dark. All the lowing and bawling caused Phil to break out singing “Home on the Range” at supper time.
