On the road to Arua. Yup after two weeks of no travel we are taking the 7 hour bus trip to Arua, Uganda. The bus and roads are smooth enough for reading so it should be a good day. Arua was our home in 2004-5 so we have many memories and friends there. We will spend only one night there before going on by road to Adi, Congo, on Sunday to visit our three AIM missionaries there. This will be a first time for us to visit Adi.

Some of our readers, especially those from Agape, will remember the road trip from Kampala to Arua 8-10 years ago. Now the roads are paved all the way and most traffic travels north of Murchison Falls Park so we don’t do the ferry boat Nile crossing and see all the animals we used to enjoy in the days we had to travel through the Park. Our bus today touched the northwest corner of the Park at Pakwach but the only animals we saw were some hippos. At Karuma Falls bridge however there were the usual baboons sauntering as sentinels of the roadways.
