Phil and Linda Byler, missionaries in Sudan

Linda and I walked from Matoke Inn before dawn to Lindsay Cottages which has a nice garden restaurant with a view of the Eastern Horizon. We reminisced over many fond Easter Sunrise memories from Williamsport, PA. We rejoiced in the faithfulness of God for another day, another continent to experience Sonrise, another precious time to embrace Love and GRACE and REST. We read the resurrection account in all four gospels as the sun crested the distant hill. We reflected upon the Sabbath rest of the completed work of Jesus – His body rested in the tomb over the Sabbath when his Redemptive work was finished – we also have the opportunity to rest in His completed work – our work / rest  is to BELIEVE in (Jn 6:29), to REST  in (Mt.11:28-30), to ABIDE in (Jn.15) THE CRUCIFIED AND RESSURECTED ONE. Ah, may I do so more completely this day, this week, this year.
