We grappled with many questions like these–

What to do when you are overwhelmed with people in this relationship oriented culture?  Can you still be viewed as a Christian if you close your door?

How do you appropriately share your resources when there are so many requests?  Does “not sharing” give me the reputation of being selfish?

Last weekend, our Sudan team members joined together in our Torit compound for a wonderful time of sharing on the topic of stewardship!  We loved eating marvellous meals, fellowshipping, worshipping in song, looking at scriptures, sharing our readings, and telling stories of our cross cultural experiences with issues of time, finances, and possessions!  Tough questions, but as one of our newer members stated, “It made us feel normal knowing that the old timers are still pondering how to deal with these!”
