Ready to capture the wind

Today Linda and I celebrated our fortieth wedding anniversary. What a gift from God and a privilege to give thanks for our strong, durable, and blessed marriage. We spent the weekend in Entebbe in an empty missionary house with a lovely balcony overlooking Lake Victoria. This afternoon we spent 3 peaceful hours sailing this little laser boat in gentle winds on the bay. We’re reading a helpful book by Gary Chapman, The Four Seasons of Marriage. By his analogy we are in mostly summer of marriage characterized by warmth, growth, fruitfulness, stability, and maturity. Happily we also have some elements of Spring with its joy, wonder, excitement, and new life also.
