Daughters of Destiny, our church’s women’s group, gathered today for a time of fellowship while learning new cooking tips!  I learned how to prepare and partially cook cassava with curry powder, garlic, onion, and turmeric in the water, and then coat and fry the slices for a tasty treat!  Another new combination for me was the turmeric, cumin, chili powder, garlic, and mustard seed mixture in the oil which is used for frying bite-sized chunks of pre-boiled potatoes. Very yummy, as was the Indian dish of Balti chicken!
