Linda and I are enjoying daily readings from Ann Voskamp’s One Thousand Gifts Devotional. She inspires finding the beauty of God’s gifts amidst the daily rubble of life.

From our front porch this Saturday morning I view the beauty of our flowering “trumpet vine” against the backdrop of the all-to-close construction.
Which do I see?
I borrow Ann’s prayer “…. Turn me from seeing burdens to seeking beauty. Cause me to glimpse at the grittiness and gaze on Your glory – because could there be more joy than adoring You more?”
I chose beauty.
